Webber to W. G. Brown QC Deed Now [sic] all men by these presents that I Edmund Webber of the County of Lewis & State of Missouri & Eliza the wife of the said Edmund Webber in consideration of the Sum of fifteen Dollars to us in hand paid by Willis G. Brown of the County & State aforesaid the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have bargained Sold & Quit claimed unto the said Willis G. Brown & to his heirs & assigns forever all our & Each of our right title interest Estate Claim & Demand both at Law & in Equity of in and to all of a certain tract or parcel of Land Known as the estate of John Norris Dec'd or so much thereof as may fall to the Shear [sic] of the Said Edmund Webber & Eliza his wife at the close of the final distribution of said lands in accordance with the Will of Said John Norris dec'd & decrees of the Court upon the same. In Witness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands and Seals this tenth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred & fifty three. Edmund Webber (L.S.) Louisa [sic] A. Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of [blank] State of Missouri County of Lewis Be it Remembered that on this tenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & fifty three personally appeared before me Edmund Webber & Eliza his wife personally Known to be undersigned a Justice of the Peace in & for this County of Lewis & State aforesaid to be the identical persons who Executed & whose names are Subscribed to the foregoing Deed of Conveyance And the said Edmund Webber & Eliza his wife being made acquainted with the contents of Said deed of conveyance and Examined Separate & apart from her Said husband acknowledged that she Executed the Same & relinquished her Dower in the Said Estate therein mentioned voluntary freely and without compulsion of her Said husband & that she does not wish to retract the Same.
