It is at all times a painful task to be under the necessity of announcing the death of a friend or relative, but when it becomes our duty to record the decease of a dearly beloved sister -- a sister who we have loved since we have been susceptible of the passion of love. -- there are none can tell how painful is that duty, save those who have been visited by a like dispensation. She has gone to the spirit land, and left us to deplore her irrepairable loss. -- yet, we "mourn not as those who have no hope." We rejoice to learn (by private letter) that she died in great peace, with a bright prospect of immortality and eternal life beyond the tomb. The LaGrange Free Press says: "The deceased had been for a number of years an exemplary member of the M. E. Church. During which time her pious walk in life corresponded with the profession she had assumed. In her death a bereaved family mourns the loss of a kind and affectionate parent. Society has lost one from its midst whose place cannot be easily supplied, and the Church mourns the loss of one of its most efficient and useful members.
