 This Contract entered into this 26th day of November in the year
1865 between Robert McIntosh of the county of Lincoln, State of
Missouri, of the first part and Sarah W. Ferrell of the County of
St. Charles, State aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth that
whereas an engagement of marriage now exists between said parties,
and it being the wish of each that said marriage when consumated
shall not change in degrees there respective rights of property in
and to their respective estate they do hereby agree that said
marriage shall not effect in any degree the present rights and
titles of them in and to their respective estates now owned nor in
and to such estates as either may hereafter acquire, but that each
shall still have and possess the exclusive right and title to his
or her respective estates aforesaid, and the right the smae to
manage during his or her natural life and the same to dispose of

Be it Remembered that on this 20th day of November eighteen hundred
and sixty five in the said county before me the undersigned a
Justice of the County Court within and for the said county,
personally appeared Robert McIntosh and Sarah W. Ferrell who are
personally known to me to be the same persons whose names are
enscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing as parties thereto
and severally acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for
the purposes therein mentioned. Witness my hand the date aforesaid.
