Viola Wallace
   Viola Wallace, 77, Brookfield, died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at Beverly Manor,
St. Joseph.
   Wallace was born Jan. 6, 1920, near New Boston, daughter of Frank and Barbara
(Christian) Goddard.  She married Cloyce E. Wallace April 19, 1947.  He preceded
her in death May 19, 1980.
   Survivors include two stepdaughters, Thelma Kirkpatrick, Brookfield, and
Leona Barry, Geneseo, Ill.; one step-son, Neal Wallace, Colony, Kan.; nine
step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clay Goddard,
Chillicothe; four sisters, Valena Heathorn, Berry Creek, Calif., Vernice Abel;
Royal Oak, Mich., and Violet Krawl and Verna Burns, Brookfield; one
sister-in-law, Carleta Goddard, Unionville; and several nieces, nephews and
other relatives.
   She was also preceded in death by her parents; one- step-son, Dean Wallace;
two step-grandsons, Phillip Wallace and Monte Kirkpatrick; four brothers, Carl,
Claude, Keith and Clyde Goddard; and one sister, Vivian Benny.
   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 997, at
Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Jack Stark officiating. 
Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Winigan.  Visitation will begin after 1 p.m.
today, Dec. 8, 1997, at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends from
6 to 8 this evening.
   Memorials to Central Missouri Kidney Association may be left at the funeral home.
