African American cemetery located east of Chillicothe, Mo. 
on S. Mitchell, approx. 1/2 mile on left side of road 
before reaching the animal shelter. The care is under Mt. 
Zion Baptist Church, Chillicothe, MO.

Additional Comments:
South Cemetery is currently under restoration and preservation...we are 
planning to clean and reset stones and we have an ongoing cleanup removing 
brush and overgrowth in order to properly maintain the cemetery. We are 
seeking information about anyone who is laid to rest there and their families.
