Cox to Moberly

This indenture made and entered into on this the ninth day of October AD
one thousand eight hundred and sixty six by and between John Cox and 
Matilda Ester his wife of the County of Bell and State of Texas as parties 
of the first part and Lewis Moberly of the County of Livingston and State 
of Missouri as party of the second part. Witnesseth that the parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars
to him paid by the said party of the second part. The receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold confirmed and conveyed 
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell confirm and convey unto the 
said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever the following 
described real estate situated in the County of Livingston and State of Missouri
to wit: Lot number one in block forty one of the city of Chillicothe. To
have and to hold the same with all the rights privileges and apurtenances 
there to belonging in anywise appertaining to the only ? benefit and behoof 
of Lewis Moberly the said party of the second part to his heirs and assigns 
forever. The said parties of the first part hereby covenanting that
they and their heirs executors and administrators shall and will warrant
and defend the title to the said premises and every part thereof unto the 
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever against the 
lawful claims and demands of all presents whomsoever ? ?
where as the said parties of the first part have hereby set their names and
seals the day and year first herein written.
