Chicollethe Morning Constitution January 4, 1891
Frank Todd, a young man living near Avalon was out hunting last Wednesday, and 
met with a very serious accident. He was loading his gun, and a premature 
discharge of the same took off hi sright hand. a few months ago he accidently 
lost his left hand in the threshing machine. the poor boy is now handless and 
is to be pitied by all.
