The trap was set so that the gun would be discharged when the barn door was opened. Mrs. DOWELL did not know the trap had been set and when she went to the barn and opened the door the trap was sprung and she received the whole charge full in the breast. She died instantly. Mr. and Mrs. DOWELL had been married only two months.
