California Emigrants

Through the kindness of one of our subscribers we have been furnished with the 
following list of California Emigrants from this city and its suburbs, the 
most of whom formed a part of our city community.  They were classed into 
different messes as follows:

Mess No. 1 -- John McKee, Samuel Cross, Wm M. Ferguson, Henry McKee.

No. 2 -- Tubman Ayres, Philander Anderson.

No. 3 -- Dr. Samuel Nelson, E. B. Stover.

No. 4 -- E. D. McDonald, Robt. Sherrard, John Bias

No. 5 -- James Brady, John M. Brady, C. C. Brady

No. 6 -- A. Shearer and family, Jacob Lafever, Rev. Mr. Granger and family

No. 7 -- Jos. M. Davis, J. W. Marah, John T__dale

No. 8 -- A. S. Robards, E. A. Lockwood, Jas. Wickersham, Jacob D. Atkinson, 
Peter O. Atkinson, Joshua Richmond, Jame Munson, Wm. Munson, Wm Settles, Dr.

No. 9 -- Wm. Nash, Henry Sarver, Wm. Coffman

No. 10 -- Dr. H. Meredith, John Jones, Chas. Meredith.

No. 11 -- J. F. Hawkins, B. M. Hawkins, G. W. Hawkins

No. 12 -- J. R. Smith, Wm. Bird, Isham Winn, James E. Murnell, Henry Howell, 
Franklin Bull, B. C. McFarland.

No. 13 -- V. P. Draper, Wm. Mare, Wm. Curtis, Marion McGinnis

No. 14 -- J. M. Lasley & servant, John Hawkins, T. J. Wilson, C. C. Carter, 
Clay Price

No. 15 -- Wm. Briggs, Henry Snider, Charles Snider, Wm. Coontz.

No. 16 -- Wm. H. Davidson, Soloman Funk, G. W. Harris

The following persons have gone but we have not been able to class them in any 
particular mess:
