Missouri Whig, And General Advertiser June 13, 1840
DEATH BY DROWNING. – On yesterday evening, while bathing in North River, near 
Mr. Massie’s mill, Willam A. Willson of this place was drowned.  How it 
happened we have not yet learned.  After a search of about two hours by a 
large body of our citizens, the body was found.

The public are invited to attend the funeral, from the house of his father, 
Mr. R. T. Wilson, at four o’clock this afternoon.
