H. Dulany is out again. ---J. H. McVeigh, Esq., visited St. Louis last week. ---Miss Katie Lakenan has entered Howard College, Fayette, Mo. ---Miss Ella DeGaris has gone to visit her aunt in Jefferson, Texas. ---Miss Nellie Anderson has entered Palmyra Seminary for this session. ---Our city physician, Dr. S. G. Smith, has been lying very ill of a fever. ---Miss Kem of Hannibal, is visiting in the family of Mr. Wm. Jackson in this city. Palmyra Spectator ---Mrs. C. W. Winslow and her lettle daughter returned home from the East, last Thursday. ---Auditor, C. W. Winslow, of the H. & St. Jo railroad, entertained Genl. Belknap during his stay in Hannibal. ---Dr. J. C. Hearne and family have returned from their visit to Kentucky, where the doctor was laid up for a time, by a severe spell of sickness. ---Mrs. Geo. Easley and Mrs. Geo. Dulany spent the last week together visiting friends in Kansas City. Miss Belle Dulany acted as housekeeper for Mrs. Dulany during her absence. ---It is currently reported by Dame Gossip that Mr. Robt. Lakenan is to be married next month to a young lady of high social standing in Kansas City. Can't vouch for the truth of the rumor.
