He was nearing the fifty-seventh milestone of his life, October 19 being his birthday. Mr. GEE had been a resident of Hannibal for the last twelve years and during his residence here had been a member of the police force several times. He was born on a farm in Macon county where he spent the early portion of his life. While a young man he took up railroad work, and for 23 years was a passenger conductor on the Burlington railroad between Kansas City and Quincy. Although his health was bad he served the city well and during the previous years while a member of the police force he made a most a capable and efficient officer. Mr. GEE was a member of the Park Methodist church and of the Odd Fellows and Modern Woodmen of America lodges. For the last three weeks he had been confined to his bed, death resulting from complications of diseases. Besides his heartbroken widow, Mr. GEE is survived by one brother, J.W. GEE of Macon, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth MATHEWS of the same place. The funeral will be at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon from the family residence. The services will be conducted by the Rev. J.N. BOYD, pastor of the Park Methodist church. The burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. Source: "Hannibal Evening Courier Post," Hannibal, MO, Saturday, 02 Oct 1915, page 1 NOTE: Thomas A.
