The Hannibal Journal, Thursday, December 7, 1848
MARRIED
At the residence of John L. Lacy, Esq., in this city, on Tuesday evening last, 
5th inst., by the Rev. Geo. C. Light, Mr. David A. Sprinkle, and Miss Emily 
Jane Church, late of Aberdeen, Brown co., Ohio.

We not only received the usual office fee, a slice of the Bride's cake, but 
some of us had the pleasure of witnessing the nuptual ceremonies -- of doing 
ample justice to a share of the abundance of the good things prepared for the 
occasion -- and of participating in the joyous festivities of the evening.  
May happiness attend them.
