The Hannibal Journal, Thursday, November 23, 1848
MARRIED,
On the 16th ult., by the Rev. Mr. Granger, James P. Moore, to Miss S. F. 
Davis, all of this city.


Additional Comments:
The 16th ult. would normally be the previous month which would be October, but 
that seems a long time to wait to report the marriage.  I looked up the 
marriage record which gives Nov. 16, 1848 as the true date.  And the bride's 
name was Sarah Frances Davis.
