Witnesseth that the said Michael Capp and Susannah his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of Seven hundred & twenty five Dollars in hand paid by the Said Gabriel Alexander the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the Said Michael Capp and his wife do by these presents grant bargain Sell alien and convey unto the said Gabriel Alexander the following tracts or parcels of land being in the County and State aforesaid known and described afor the West 1/4 of the SE quarter of Section No. 20 Township No. 55 Range No. 12 north of the baseline West of the principal meridian containing forty acres & one lot No. 1 or the SE 1/4 of the SW qr. of Section No. 20 Township 55 Range 12 con. 40 acres one other Lot described for the East half of the North West quarter of Section No. 29 Township 55 Range 12 containing Eighty acres one other lot described as follows beginning at the N.W. corner of NE quarter of section 29 township 55 and Range 12 running East with the Section line Eighty one poles thence South twenty five poles thence 63 degrees West thirty Eight poles thence West ten poles thence south 85 degrees West twenty poles thence North 87 degrees West Sixteen and one half poles thence North forty Seven poles to the beginning containing twenty one acres and Eighty four hundreths of an acre and one other lot, containing nine acres in all containing one hundred and ninety acres and Eighty four hundreths of an acre of land unto the said Gabriel Alexander his heirs and assigns forever and the Said Michael Capp and Susannah his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators Jointly and Severally to and with the said Gabriel Alexander warrant and defend forever unto the said Gabriel Alexander a good and lawful title to said tracts or parcels of land and premises clear and free from all manner of claim or claims by through or under any person or persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the Said Michael Capp and Susannah his wife have set our hands and Seals the date aforesaid. Michael Capp (Seal) Susannah (her x mark) Capp (Seal) State of Missouri County of Monroe Be it remembered that on this twenty Eighth day of October A.D. one thousand Eight hundred and forty one personally appeared before me William Shawver a Justice of the peace in and for the County and State aforesaid Michael Capp and Susannah Capp his wife both personally known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing Instrument of writing as having executed the Same and Severally acknowledged the Same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned She the Said Susannah Capp the wife of the Said Michael Capp being by me first made acquainted with the contents thereof and examined separately and apart from her said husband whether she executed the said deed and relinquished her dower in the lands and tenements therein mentioned freely and voluntarily and without compulsion or undue influence of her husband acknowledged and declared that she executed said deed relinquished her dower in the lands and tenements therein mentioned freely and voluntarily and without compulsion or undue influence of her husband & that she had no wish to retract therefrom.
