All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mo/mofiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 October 16, 2010, 6:52 pm Written: March 26, 1853 Recorded: January 7, 1855 Monroe County, Missouri Deed Book N, pages 437-438 Sarah Glenn to James King Deed This indenture made and entered into this 26th day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty three between Sarah Glenn of the County of Macon & State of Missouri of the first part and James King of the County of Monroe & State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars to me in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged I hereby give grant bargain sell convey transfer and make over unto the said James King his heirs and assigns forever the following described tract or parcel of land to with NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 section 14 Township 55 Range 12 the west half of the aforesaid 1/4 containing twenty acres more or less to have and to hold unto the said James King his heirs and assigns forever the aforegranted premises. And the said Sarah Glenn do for herself her heirs Executors and administrators covenant to warrant and defend the aforegranted premises unto the said James King his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim or claims of every person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal the day and year first above written in presence of J. Sanner (Monroe interlined before signed). Be it remembered that Sarah Glenn who is personally known to the undersigned Justice of the peace to be the same person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing deed as a party thereto this day appeared before me at the County of Monroe aforesaid and acknowledged that she executed the said deed voluntarily for the uses and purposes therein expressed.
