Oliver C. Smith & wife to Frances T. Wilson
Deed

Know all men by these presents that Oliver C. Smith & Nancy A. Smith of the 
County of Monroe and State of Missouri for and in Consideration of the Sum of 
Twelve Dollars to us in hand paid by Frances T. Wilson of the county of Monroe 
and state aforesaid the receipt of which we do hereby acknowledge, and do 
hereby grant bargain and Sell to the said Frances T. Wilson the following 
named real estate lying and being in said County of Monroe and State aforesaid 
and described as follows, that is to say Commencing at the South West Corner 
of North West quarter of the South West quarter of Section Twenty one Township 
55 Range 12 running from thence Due East 88 yards, from thence North 58 yards, 
from thence West 88 yards & from thence South 58 yards to the place of 
commencement Containing one acre more or less.  To have and to hold the same 
with all the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to his heirs and 
assigns forever and we covenant and agree with the said Frances T. Wilson that 
we warrant and will forever defend the title of said Real estate to him his 
heirs and assigns against all claims legally presented.
In witness whereof we hereto subscribe our names and affix our seals this 17th 
day of June A.D. 1869.

Be it remembered that Oliver C. Smith and Nancy A. Smith his wife who are 
known to the undersigned Notary Public in and for said county of Monroe to be 
the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing Deed as parties 
thereto this day appeared before me and acknowledged that they executed and 
delivered the same as their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes 
therein mentioned, and the said Nancy A. Smith being by me made acquainted 
with the contents of said deed acknowledged on an examination separate and 
apart from her said husband, that She executed the same and relinquishes her 
dower in the Real estate therein mentioned freely and without compulsion or 
undue influence of her said husband.
In testimony whereof I a Notary Public in and for said County hereto Sign my 
name and affix my Seal of office at the county of Monroe aforesaid this 17th 
day of June A.D. 1869.

Note:  In this deed the grantee's name is written Frances T. Wilson, but the 
next deed in Book X involves the same man as grantor and his name is written 
Francis T. Wilson.
