Whereas: an All-Wise Providence has seen to remove from our midst, our Worthy Chaplain, J. C. Duncan. Therefore, be it Resolved, That the Prairie View Grange tender to the family of the deceased our heartfelt sympathy and condolence in their sad bereavement. Resolved, That the death of Brother J. C. Duncan, this Grange has lost a faithful and an efficient laborer and the society in which he moved, a worthy member; whose many Christian virtues, are worthy of our emulations. Resolved, That the members of Prairie View Grange, No. 1935, be requested to wear the badge of mourning for 30 days, and that the hall be draped in mourning for 30 days. Resolved, That the Secretary be instructed to send a copy of these resolutions to the family of the deceased; and that a copy of the ????? be send to the Monroe Appeal, and that it be requested to publish them.
