RITES HELD FOR MRS. GREEN

Mother of Columbia Man Dies in Monroe City

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Monroe City for Mrs. J. F.
Green, 
mother of J. C. Green of Columbia.  Mrs. Green died at Monroe City Tuesday evening 
following a two-weeks' illness of pneuonia.  She was 76 years old.

Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, three sons, J. C. Green of Columbia; L. F.
Green, 
Shelbina; and F. R. Green, Marshall; and three daughters, Mrs. F. F. Foote, a former

Columbians; Mrs. J. L. Pike, Monroe City; and Mrs. J. C. Arrington, Cedar Rapids,
Ia.  L. 
Francis Pike of Columbia, a grandson of Mrs. Green and Mrs. Pike left for Monroe
City 
yesterday.  J. C. Green has been at his mother's bedside for the last days.
