Stone Cemetery, Morgan County, Missouri Formerly Moniteau County, Missouri My grandmother gave me a paper today giving some family history of the STONE family buried there. Today I found the graves of: Benjamin D.Stone, born May 9,1837 died Dec.1913 Cora E.Stone, daughter of B.D. & N.E. Stone, born Nov.2,1881 & died Feb.8,1902 2 other stones with only initials: N.E.S. & A.A.S. one other stone broke half into and could not find remaining. The N.E.S. is Benjamin Stone's wife: Nancy E. [Adair] Stone According to the paper my grandmother has it says Benjamin D. Stone was a son of Thos. & Rhodicine [Kelly] Stone. They came from Tenn. to Missouri in 1841 with children: James, Benjamin D., Robert and Rhoda. By 1850 the children were orphans and were then raised by their grandparents:James Kelly Sr.& Nancy[Caperton]Kelly Benjamin D.Stone became a Baptist preacher in 1874 at the Library Church and served until 1898. Up on the hill from This cemetery is an old house, my grandmother told me thats where the Stone family lived "years & years" ago. If for any reason someone needs the children of the Stone family anyone may email me, I'd be more than happy to send it to them. I love genealogy & helping others out, Sincerely, Renee Koechner. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
