January 26, 1840, TN; died: October 24, 1907, MO; marriage #1: BEF 1860 in 
Stoddard County, MO to William Seth Hollis, Marriage #2: BET 1872-1874 in 
Stoddard Co, MO to Mabory [Maberry] Riggs; burial Hollis Cemetery at Acorn 
Ridge, Stoddard County, Missouri

DIED, At the Parma House in Parma, MO., attended by her devoted daughter, Mrs. 
A. J. Henson, on Thursday morning, Oct. 24, 1907, Mrs. Mary L. Riggs, aged 67 
years, 8 months, and 28 days. She was the loving mother of Mrs. J. N. Ragsdel, 
of White Oak, Mo.; Giles Hollis, of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mrs. A. J. Henson, 
of Parma, MO and Al Riggs, of Minden, La., sister of John W. Taylor, of Cape 
Girardeau, Mo, and Wm. L. Taylor, of Galewood, MO. She was a devoted christian 
from childhood, having belonged to the Methodist chuch for a number of years. 
Funeral services were conducted by Brother Stickney, pastor of M. E. 
Church of this place, at two o'clock, Oct. 24th, 1907, at the Parma House. Her 
mortal remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery, at Acorn Ridge, in 
Stoddard County, on Friday evening Oct. 25th, in the presence of relatives and 
many friends.
