Washington Post, 10 Nov 1892, "Notable Nuptials To-Day"

The marriage of Miss Emma Hunter, of New Madrid, Mo., to Mr. Thomas B. Allen, of
the War Department, this city, is announced for this evening at 8 o'clock at New
Madrid, Mo. After the ceremony, which is to be at the Presbyterian Church, Judge
and Mrs. Hunter, the bride's parents, will give a reception at their home from 9
until 11 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Allen will for the present reside in this city at
916 I Street Northwest, where they will be at home after November 21.
