HE IS GONE
  About 1 o'clock a.m. January 3, 1914 Theo. A. Drake departed this life the 
the future, being 70 years 2 months and 18 days old. Mr. Drake came to this 
state (MO) from Kansas in 1888 and has since made his home in Newton County. 
(MO)
  He leaves three sons, Herman A., Augustus James, and Theo. Winfield who 
resides in Kansas and one daughter, Mrs. Isodene S. Townsend, of Michigan to 
mourn his loss.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. N. Garrett in the 
Baptish Church on Swars prairie, after which he was laid to rest beside his 
wife in the Baptist Cemetery. (Swars Prairie Cemetery, Newton, County, MO)



Additional Comments:
Note: There is no stone at Swars Prairie Cemetery for Theodore A. Drake and 
wife Mary E. (Newsom) Drake but they are buried next to son Herman A. and 
Adelaide Bell (Newby) Drake.
