WOODSIDE CEMETERY, THOMASVILLE, OREGON COUNTY, MISSOURI WOODSIDE CEMETERY, THOMASVILLE, OREGON COUNTY, MO Located just off Hwy. 19 about 1/4 mile north of the Thomasville city limits sign. It is a well-maintained cemetery in a beautiful wooded setting. The cemetery is named for the Woodside family who were early settlers of Thomasville. The earliest burial appears to be that of Eliza H. Franks (1862); however there are a number of unreadable stones and some that are sunken into the ground making the date of death unreadable, so there my be older burials. The cemetery continues active today, but space is very limited and the cemetery is very close to being full. At various places throughout the cemetery, there appear to be other graves (some marked by rocks, others by broken stones which are not readable). Near the east end of the cemetery is a stone around which a tree trunk has grown. The front of the stone is embedded in the tree and no markings are visible.
