Gen. & Historical Society ==================================================================== Catherwood/Riggs Cemetery T23, R15, S20 Route Z south, right on Z850, left on first pasture road This cemetery takes the first part of its name from Sam and Mary Catherwood who were early settlers on the land and are buried there. The second part if the name comes from their daughter and her husband, Cindy Catherwood Riggs and John Riggs, who inherited the property, which is now owned by one of their descendants, Dolan Hobbs. The Billingsly family members buried here were related to the Catherwood and Riggs families. There are three graves marked with fieldstones, one unmarked grave, and ten have headstones.
