Fairview Cemetery T21, R16, S8 Highway 160 to Route P, 8 miles to P644, right to cemetery The cemetery lies on land donated by Aaron Quick and his wife in the late 1890's for school-church building and burial ground. The Quicks homesteaded the land, being granted their patent in 1892 Fairview school district was first identified as district 2, township 21, then as district 71. In the mid-1950's, Fairview became part of the Lutie reorganized district six. In 1987, Lutie district ceded one acre to Fairview Cemetery Association, exclusive of the old schoolhouse. The association has fenced the grounds and provides for regular upkeep. A tombstone has recently been placed by the gate to mark the graves of Everett and Elmer COPELAND, young sons of Steve and Ava Pritchard Copeland. Among the unmarked graves is the grave of Ella COLEPOINT.
