Gen. & Historical Society ==================================================================== Robison (or Lawson) Cemetery T24, R15, S32 North from Thornfield on 95 about 2 miles, cemetery is on left Pleasant Lawson deeded one acre of land for this cemetery. Although not the first, his mother, Kavy Lawson from Tennessee, was among the earliest buried there. This plot was abandoned, however, because of underground water that would often rise in the graves before the interment could be completed, according to Mrs. Daisy Turner, daughter of Mr. Lawson. The small cemetery is beside highway 95 north if Thornfield on the Findley Herd place. Following are graves marked by fieldstones that have been identified: LAWSON, Cavie, wife of Tommy and mother of Pleasant, no dates (Tommy buried in Tennessee) LAWSON, infant (unnamed) of Pleasant LAWSON, Nucie, child of Pleasant LAWSON, Newt, son of Pleasant LAWSON, Melda, daughter of Pleasant LAWSON, two unnamed infants of Joe Lawson MURRILL, Tom and Laura (brother and sister), early 1800's MURRILL, two unnamed infants of Brown Murrill (early 1900's) These are the stones with inscriptions: ROBISON, Lizzie, daughter of John and Annis, 22 Dec 1887-16 Feb 1903 ROBISON, infant of John and Annis, 14 Aug 1898 ROBISON, Annis, wife of John, 22 Nov 1868-17 Aug 1898 ROBISON, John, 21 Dec 1864-9 Aug 1898
