Moore James L. Moore, 77, 905 East Niinth, died at the Bothwell Hospital at 12:30 a.m. Sunday. He had been ill for the past ten months. Mr. Moore was born at Tea, Missouri , March 11, 1891, the son of the late Henry D. and Caroline Baumbach Moore. He was married July 4, 1912 to Miss Stella Barton Ford, who preceded him in death in 1918. They were the parents of four children. A daughter Mrs. Phyliss Henselmann, died at Appleton City in January, 1961. Mr. Moore was married at Sedalia, Oct.10, 1920 to Miss Nora Ann Garrett. They were the parents of five children. Two sons, Robert Moore and Wilbur Moore, preceded Mr. Moore in death. Mrs. Nora A. Moore died March 2, 1962, at Sedalia. Mr. Moore has lived in Sedalia since 1920 and until his retirement in 1956, he had been employed at the Missouri-Pacific shops as a machinist. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church. He was married June 25, 1962 at Sedalia to Mrs. Sophia Stargell, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Albert L. Moore, Smithton; James H. Bauer, Salt Lake City, Utah; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Hunter, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Carolyn Atkinson, Boonville; Mrs. Lorene Erfurth, Smithton, Mrs. Viola Nelson, Columbia. Twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ewing Funeral Home. The Rev. Philip J. Bowline, pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ed Williams, Paul Atkinson, Robert Atkinson, Thomas Nelson, Melvin Carwile and Richard Edwards. Burial will be in the Smithton Cemetery. The body is at the Ewing Funeral Home. Additional Comments: The pall bearers were all family members.
