SMALL CEMETERIES IN PHELPS COUNTY, MISSOURI CATHOLIC CEMETERY, ROLLA This cemetery is said to have been leveled of all stones about 1957-58. The Church reports that their records reflect the following burials: Ponzer, Benjamin & Julie Infants buried 1934 McGuire, Michael Henry buried 27 Oct 1933 Rolla Weekly Herald, Thursday, Feb. 22, 1877. Died in this city on Sunday eveniing, Feb. 18th, Francis Deegan Sr., aged _ years, 4 months, & 8 days. Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church on Monday, and his remains were followed to the grave by a large number of relatives and friends. Rolla Weekly herald, March 22, 1883. Died in this city on Friday afternoon last at 5 o'clock of consumption, Mr. Martin Madigan, aged about 45 years, Mr. Madigan was a brother of city marshall Madigan, at whose residence he died. He was buried on Sunday in the CathoLic cemetery.
