Cordelia (nee Carroll) Beck Obituary MRS CORDELIA BECK Cordelia (Carroll) Beck was born July 10, 1875 in Shannon County, Mo. and came to Phelps County when just a girl, where she has made her home through the years. She passed away at the General Hos- pital, Waynesville, Mo., October 9, 1949. She was united in marriage to Samuel B. Beck December 21, 1898 and to this union nine children were born, four of whom with the husband have preceded her in death. Mrs. Beck professed faith in Christ and united with the Baptist Church when just a girl and at the time of her going she was a mem- ber of the First Baptist Church of St. James, Mo. where she had held membership for a number of years. She was a strong believer in the christian faith and endeavored to rear her children to be christian. Those who survive her are five children: two sons and three dau- ghters, John W. Beck of Gardenia, Calif., George B. Beck of St. James, Mo., Mrs. Lena Campey of St. Louis Mrs. Bessie Woods of Rolla, Mo., and Mrs. Oma Williams of St. Louis. One half sister, Lena French of Salem, Mo., twelve grandchildren and other relatives and friends. May the Lord comfort and care for the bereaved family is our pray- er. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday 2 P. M. at the Baptist Church by Rev. J. R. Halbrook with music by the choir.
