Obituary, St James Journal, St James, MO: 18 September 1908, "Laid to Rest by the M.WA"....Neighbor, Alva Chambers who was buried in the Macedonia Cemetery on the 10th, Inst. by the Neighbors of broadway Camp #7430 assisted by the Forester Team of High Gate Camp. The Funeral Services were conducted by J.F. Burge of St James Camp #2300 in the presence of a large assemblance of relatives, friends, and neighbors. Neighbor Chambers was the eldest son of James L. and Delilah Chambers. He leaves one sister, Edna Mae Chambers, and two brothers, Coy and Arthur, and three brothers having preceded him to that world not made by human hands. Eternal in Heaven.
