The Rolla New Era
Rolla, Missouri
September 3, 1887

EDWARD LUSTER, who died August 25th after a lingering illness at Rolla, Mo., 
where for a short time he had resided, was born May 1, 1807, in Wayne County  
Kentucky.  He immigrated to Gasconade in 1834 and lived here excepting a short 
time ever since.  He was one of the earliest settlers of this county and as 
time rolled on he gathered a good share of this world's goods, yet maintaining 
an untarnished reputation for honesty, fidelity and Christian love.

A large concourse of friends and relatives gathered at the grave on Iron Hill 
Cemetery near Cleavesdale, to pay their last tribute of respect to the honored 
dead.

The departed leaves an aged widow and several grown children whom God may 
comfort and help to strive to meet again in that land where parting is no more.
