The Rolla New Era
Rolla, Missouri
May 1, 1886

Died, in Rolla, April 18, 1886, JENNIE W. MORRIS, infant daughter
of Mrs. JENNIE MORRIS.  Born January 5th, 1883, aged 3 years and
3 months.  The funeral services were held at the house Monday
afternoon, April 19th, at 2:30.  Widow MORRIS has the sympathy of
her many friends in her deep affliction.

Tender Shepherd, thou hast
stilled, Now Thy little lamb's
brief weeping; Ah! how peaceful,
pale, and mild, In its narrow
bed 'tis sleeping! And no sigh
of anguish bore, Heaves that
little bosom more.

In this world of care and pain,
Lord, Thou would'st no longer
leave it; To the sunny heavenly
plain, Thou dost now with joy
receive it; Clothed in robes of
spotless white, Now it dwells
with Thee in light.
