Obituary of Leonard H. Pilger Leonard Henry Pilger, son of the late Leonard and Sarah Pilger, was born January 9, 1886 and departed this life February 7, 1955. he was 69 years and 29 days old at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Wilson on August 19, 1907. Five children were born to this un- ion. Four children survive him, on daughter Thelma Tomlinson having preceded him in death on March 21, 1930. He leaves to mourn him his wife, Rebecca, one son Leonard Pilger Jr. of St. James, three daughters, Mrs. Inez Sneed and Mrs. Irene Swyers of St. Louis and Juanita of the home, five brothers Lawrence and Orville of Rolla, Mo., Clark and Edgar of Pacific, Mo. and Buel of Berger, Mo. and one foster sister, Mrs. Ruth Strautman of Grandview, Mo. He also leave seven grand- children, one of whom he reared from infancy, Mrs. Erlyne Tomlin- son Ridenhour, and one great grandchild, also a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Pilger was a loving and kind husband, a devoted father and a loyal friend and neighbor. With a firm belief in God he has gone to his reward. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, February 9 at 2:30 p.m. at the Licklider Funeral Home with Rev. T. Bluford Conway officiating. Interment was made in the Mason- ic Cemetery.
