B. Johnson. The congratulatory note held the Presidential Seal. Also in the mail this week were letters from the children of her cousin, George Alexander of Hutchinson, Kansas. Mr. Alexander had asked each of his children to write Mrs. Anno about their families. Each letter was thoroughly enjoyed by the alert Mrs. Anno. Other cards and gifts have been presented to this Centenarian. Mrs. Anno, a daughter of John and Medora Jackson Crutchfield was born Sept. 15, 1867 on the original family farm. She attended the Female Orphans Home, later known as Missouri Christian College in Camden Point and her daily chore was sweeping the Chapel at the school. Mrs. Anno was quite musical and played for both the Pleasant Ridge church and Swamp College. She also taught a Sunday School class. Following the death of her husband, the family moved to Weston. She shares a home with one of her three daughters, Mrs. Bernard Meeker and Mr. Meeker. Miss Dora Anno lives in Weston and Mrs. Ethel Kaylor's home is in Bakersfield, Calif. Another daughter, Josephine, died a number of years ago.
