Foley, united in marriage their daughter, Miss Lulu, to Terrell Richardson on Sunday, September 14, 1919. Rev James Froman, pastor of the Mt. Bethel church officiated. The bride chose a navy blue traveling suit and the bridesmaid, Miss Lilliewood Kyle, wore blue georgette crepe. The late Earl Foley was bestman and the ring bearer, the late Neva Layton. Miss Kyle and Mr. Foley were later married. The couple who grew up in the vicinity of Weston, "autoed" to St. Joseph for a honeymoon, before going to housekeeping on the Richardson family farm. Later they bought a place in the Pleasant Ridge community and lived there until they moved to Weston eleven years ago. Mrs. Richardson was a graduate of the Shenandoah, Iowa, Normal School and Mr. Richardson had completed his military service when they were married. The 50- year ago couple have a son, T Baker Richardson, and one grandson, Terry Richardson, who just recently married. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson will be honored with a reception in observance of their Golden Wedding Anniversary, this Sunday afternoon at their home on Short Street in Weston. The son and his wife will be assisted at the reception by Mr. and Mrs. Terry Richardson. Friends and relatives will be received during the hours of two until five.
