Mrs. John Brenner Dies Suddenly

Mother of Mrs. R.G. Eskridge Suffers Fatal Attack

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at St. Matthew's United Church of 
Christ in Riverside for Mrs. John W. Brenner, who died Tuesday at the NKC 
hospital. Mrs. Brenner became ill early in the morning and when the doctor came 
he ordered her to the hospital where she died upon arrival. She had suffered a 
heart attack.
Mrs. Brenner, 76, the former Miss Bess Millsap, was a member of one of Platte 
County's pioneer families. She was a faithful member of the church from where 
services were held Thursday and a lifelong resident of the County. Mrs. Brenner 
was active in her church and in Republican Circles thruout the County and 
District.
Survivors are her husband, John W. Brenner of the home; four daughters, Mrs. 
Virginia Eskridge of Weston; Mrs. Verna Tatman, Kansas City; Mrs. Julia 
Eskridge, Riverside and Mrs. Martha Noland, Kansas City. She also leaves a 
sister, Mrs. Odessa Thompson, Kansas City, North, five grandchildren and three 
great-grandchildren.
