Mrs. Melissa Cannon, Died at her home near Hoover, May 22, 1899, after an 
illness of about six weeks. She was born in Platte county; was married to 
James Cannon July 21, 1891, and was a devoted wife until death. She leaves a 
husband and one child, father,mother and sisters to mourn her loss. She was 
buried at the Bane cemetary beside her little babe, which died a few weeks 
ago. A Friend.
