Dorothy Hollied was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1923, the daughter of 
Rosalee Spinner and the late Frank Hollied.
She grew up in Weston and graduated from Weston High School in 1940. 
Remembering Dorothy, one recalls a happy disposition and always a quick wit. 
She was a talented pianist and was ready at any time to share her beautiful 
voice for church or community affairs.
She was married in June, 1948, to C. J. Heider, who was a Navy career man. They 
spent many years living in South America and in different countries in Europe. 
They were the parents of twin sons, Phillip and Kevin.
After a week's illness in San Diego Naval Hospital she passed away on Tuesday, 
June 12, at the age of 56 years.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in 
Long Beach. Burial was in National Cemetery in Riverside.
Besides her husband and twin sons of the home in Long Beach she is survived by 
her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. John Fallon.
