R. Fleming, a former resident of the Magic City, will be grieved to learn of his death, which occurred at his home, in Los Angeles, California, July 21. The cause of his death was hemorrhage of the brain and apoplexy. He was 82 years of age, being born in Indiana, county of Peoria, on August 3, 1822. His loving widow, Rebecca, three daughters, Mrs. Mears, Mrs. A. Elsea, and Miss Kate Fleming, who resided with him, and one son, Charles R. Fleming, of Washington D.C., survive him. His illness lasted three days and the death is saddened by the fact that his son was not able to reach his bedside, he bing on his homeward journey. Mr. Fleming was an honorable gentleman, respected by all, and his death will be sincerely mourned.
