MASON KNOWN HERE The sad death of Mrs. Hattie Mason, wife of Alex H. Mason, a mail clerk on the Wabash between St. Louis and Omaha, was a sudden and severe shock to her friends here. Mrs. Mason was in bad health, and the recent death of a twin sister produced a condition of mind that drove her to suicide. Mrs. Mason was but 21 years of age, and was a bride of last June. While her husband, who remained home from his work to be with her, slept in an adjoining room, Tuesday afternoon, the despondent bride took a does of acid and death followed swiftly. She resided at 2023 Bissell street, St. Louis.
