Moberly Evening Democrat - July 29, 1904
DIED NEAR MOBERLY


Mrs. Emma Scrutchfield departed this life last night at 10 o'clock at her country 
home, west of town, of consumption after a long, painful illness.  She was 45 
years of age and is survived by her husband and eight children, five sons, and 
three daughters, who with many friends, mourn her demise.

Burial was had this afternoon at 3 o'clock from Hager Chapel, the services being 
conducted by Rev. B.F. Gaither.
