Reid, 2006 This Indenture, made on the nineteenth day of January A.D., one thousand eight hundred and seventy four, by and between Samuel S. Cruse and Jane P. Cruse his wife of the County of Ray State of Missouri parties of the first part, and Mary McNabb of the County of Ray and State of Missouri of the second part: Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of One Thousand 00/100 Dollars, to them paid by said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, both by these presents, GRANT, BARGAIN AND SELL, CONVEY AND CONFIRM, unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, the following described lots, tracts or parcels of land, lying, being and situate in the County of Ray, and State of Missouri, to-wit: All The South East Quarter of the North East Quarter of Section Eighteen In Township Number fifty one of Range Number Twenty Nine. To Have and to Hold, The premises aforesaid, with all and singular, the rights, privileges, appurtenances and immunities thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining, unto the said party of the second part, and unto her heirs and assigns, FOREVER; the said Parties of the first hereby convenanting that they are lawfully seized of an indefeasible Estate in fee, in the premises herein conveyed; that they have good right to convey the same; that the said premises are free and clear of any incumbrances done or suffered by them or those under whom they claim; and that they will WARRANT AND DEFEND the title to the said premises unto the said party of the second part, and unto her heirs and assigns, FOREVER, against the lawful claims and demands of all person whomsoever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written. Samuel S. Cruse Jane P. Cruse STATE OF MISSOURI County of Ray Be it remembered, That on this 19th day of January A.D. 1874 before me the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace, within and for the County of Clay and State of Missouri personally came Samuel S. Cruse and Jane P. Cruse his wife who are personally known to me to be the same persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing, as parties thereto, and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed, for the purposes therein mentioned. And the said Jane P. Cruse, being by me first made acquainted with the contents of said instrument, upon an examination separate and apart from her husband, acknowledged that she executed the same, and relinquishes her Dower in the Real Estate therein mentioned, freely and without fear, compulsion, or undue influence of her said husband.
