Ray County, Missouri - Miscellaneous - Dim Brown Shot Off His Hand 1932 Shot Off His Hand. Dim Brown, Negro, Accidentally Discharged Shotgun While Out Hunting. Starting out squirrel hunting, Tuesday morning, Dim Brown, 50-years-old Richmond Negro, stumbled, and the shotgun he war carrying was accidentally discharged. The shot mutilated his left hand and forearm. He was rushed in the Joiner invalid coach to General hospital in Kansas City, and the left are was amputated at a point just below the elbow.
