Ray County, Missouri - Miscellaneous - Frazier Is a Descendant of Jeremiah Crowley Richmond Missourian 1942 Mrs. Lucy F. Frazier Is a Descendant of Jeremiah Crowley, Sr. Mrs. Lucy F. Frazier, 609 Chestnut street Milton, Oregon, orders The Missourian and makes her subscription all the more interesting by explaining that she is a granddaughter of Uncle Jimmy Crowley who was a son of Jeremiah and Polly (Cary) Crowley of Rayville. Mrs. Frazier left Ray County with her parents when she was seven years old, and she will be 84 on next June 8. Mrs. Frazier did not state in her letter, received Monday, what her maiden name was. Jewell Mayes on Tuesday searched in "Trail Blazers," the book of the Crowley, Turnage, Maddux, Mayes and related families, and finds on page 299 of the book that Lucy Frances Frazier is the daughter of James Thomas Moss, senior, who married Miss Sarilda Crowley, daughter of James and Frances Crowley of Rayville. "Trail Blazers" says that Mr. Moss and his family left Missouri in 1865 and first settles in Walla Walla Wash., later locating at Milton, Ore., where the daughter, Mrs. Frazier, now resides. There were five Moss children. Lucy Frances married Henry L. Frazier, who died April 20, 1932. There was seven Frazier children.
