Ray County, Missouri Marriages - Marriage Records 1942 Fearing & Beary Richmond Missourian 1942 Miss Opal Barger Weds Glenn Brown Saturday Afternoon The marriage of miss Opal Barger, daughter of Mrs. Frank Barger of Rayville, and Glenn Brown of Topeka, Kans., was solemnized at 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon. The wedding took place at the home of the Rev. J.A. Robb in Liberty. Rev. Robb, pastor of the Rock Falls church in Red Brush community, read the services. The bride was dressed in blue and wore a shoulder corsage of red roses, Miss Virginia Berger, a niece attended her as maid of honor. Melin Brown of Kansas City attended his brother as best man, Miss Edith Weiss of Kansas City also attended the wedding. Mrs. Brown, a graduate of the Excelsior Springs high school, has been owner-operator of Opal’s Beauty Shoppe there the past two years. Mr. Brown graduated from the Orrick high school. He is vice-president and treasurer of the Pioneer Paper Company and is manager of the Topeka branch.
