Mansur, jr., announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Doris Virginia, to Gordon E. Cupps, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Cupps, Granby, Mo. Miss Mansur attended William Woods college, at Fulton, and the University of Missouri, at Columbia, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma social sorority. Mr. Cupps attends the University of Missouri, and will be graduated this February. He is a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. The wedding will take place on Saturday, February 14. ---------------------------------- Richmond Missourian 6 FEB 1942 Miss Doris Virginia Mansur Was Married Saturday Afternoon Miss Doris Virginia Mansur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Mansur, jr., of Richmond, became the bride of Gordon Ernest Cupps of Granby, Mo., at the home of the afternoon in the presence of members of the immediate families and a few close friends. The bride wore a suit of spring blue wool with brown accessories and a corsage of orchids. Miss Ann Stoker of Omaha, Nebr., who was the bride’s only attendant, wore a suit of grey and rose wool with navy accessories. Mr. Laverne Fischer of Sweet Springs, Mo., was the best man. The mantel was banked with banked with huckleberry foliage and sweetheart roses. Large baskets of gladiolas were placed at each side and standards of ivory tapers lighted the alter. Preceding the ceremony, Misses Joanne Hamacher and Rosemary Farris lighted the standard of ivory tapers, while Mrs. Price L. Collier played "When Day Is Done." Mrs. Harry Jones, jr., sang "Because" and "At Dawning." During the service, which was read by the Rev. Ernest Jones of the Richmond Methodist church, Mrs. Price L. Collier played softly "I Love You Truly," and an adaptation of Stakowski’s piano concerto, "Tonight We Love." The bride was given in marriage by her father. Following the ceremony, a reception was held. Assisting Mr. and Mrs. Mansur were: Mrs. Newton Hamacher, Mrs. Harry Spencer, Mrs. R.K. Bandy, Misses Virginia Jane Weber, Joanne Hamacher, Rosemary Farris, Mary Chaffe Hill. Following a short honeymoon the couple will be at home in Granby, Mo. The briegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Cupps of Granby. Both Mr. and Mrs. Cupps attended the University of Missouri. Mrs. Cupps was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and Mr. Cupps belongs to the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. The out-of-town guests were: Miss Anne Shelton, Miss Ida Kallaway, Kermit Bailey, Joe Edmondson, George Harness, Gordon Ytell, and Elbert Barrett all of Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Brown of Jefferson City; Mrs. R.K. Bandy, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Kemmerer, and Miss Rosemary Farris of Sedlia; Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Willis of Norborne; Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Meehan of Kansas City; and C.O.
