Ray County, Missouri Marriages - McPherson engaged to Roberts Richmond Missourian 30 AUG 1942 Charles McPherson Engaged to Marry Poplar Bluff Girl L.O. Roberts of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, announces the engagement of his daughter, Miss Marie Roberts, to Charles McPherson, Radio Technician, first class, of the United States Navy. The date for the wedding has not been announced, but the wedding will probably take place sometime in December. Mr. McPherson, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. McPherson of Richmond, is in charge of the transmitter laboratory at the Naval Radio Material School in Treasure Island in San Franciso bay.
