Ray County, Missouri Military Records: 12 Colored Men To Leave For Military Duty Richmond Missourian 1942 List 12 Colored Men To Leave August 29 For Military Duty A list of 12 colored men from Ray County selected to leave for military service on August 29, is reported in that quota by Ralph O. Hamacher, clerk of the Ray County draft board. The 12 men will comprise the last quota for August, which has been the largest month so far in the number of men sent from Ray County. The 12 men are as follows: Cecil Fields, Owen Lile, Leon Allen, William F. Johnson, Forrest O. Elliott, John W. Goins, Christopher M. McDonald, Oliver W. Jackson, Lonnie Carter, George A.
