Ray County, Missouri - 1942 Philip File Fired at the Japs Richmond Missourian 1942 Philip File Fired at the Japs Jared Orr of Richmond received, Thursday, a copy of the Petersburg (Alaska) Press, in which Philip File, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude file and grandson of W.T. File and Guy R. Murray, describes his personal experiences at Honolulu on Sunday, December 7. Young File was one of the first Americans to shoot at a Japanese plane at Pearl Harbor.
